MIDDLE SCHOOL ANNOUNCEMENT

MEETINGS
Any 8 th  grader who signed up for the Computer Applications course at the high school next year needs to report to Mr.
Hawk’s room at 11:30 on Tuesday, March 20 for a brief meeting.
Student council will meet full group on Wednesday at lunch in Mrs. Jutte's room. This is a change from our typical
day so please make note.
This Wednesday, there will be an 8 th grade Washington DC meeting. Students will report to their 5 th period class for
attendance. Please listen for the announcement for you to go to the correct room for your DC meeting. Bus #1 will
report to Mr. Patch’s room. Bus #2 will report to Mrs. Kaup’s room. You will need to bring a pen or pencil with you
for the meeting. It will take 10 minutes for your meeting.
Quiz Bowl will meet on Thursday during lunch this week for practice.
SPORTS
The Fort Recovery High School Baseball team will be playing at the Dayton Dragons stadium on Saturday, April 14 th
at 1 pm. They will take on Alter High School. This game is free and open to the public. You also have a chance to
purchase Dayton Dragons baseball tickets for upcoming games on June 9 th , June 10 th and June 25 th for $11 each.
Papers will go home with the youngest today. Turn in order forms to the Middle School Office by March 23 rd .
NOTES
The Academic Booster Club will sponsor a pork chop dinner on Thursday, April 19 th from 4-6 pm. The dinners will
be carry out only and can be picked up in the convenient drive-thru at the Elementary Preschool Entrance. Tickets are
$8 each and include a pork chop, baked potato, applesauce and roll. 2Willy’s BBQ will be catering the dinners. Pre-
sale tickets must be purchased in advance. You can purchase tickets from any school office.
Today starts the 4 th nine weeks. Please make sure you have all of your obligations taken care of so you can receive
your report card on Friday. This includes book fees, lunch money, all uniforms turned in, library books returned and
any class fees owed.
The Fort Recovery Police Department is offering a free basic self-defense class on Thursday, March 22, 2018 in the
community room of Fort Recovery High School. The class will be for 7th grade up to 12th grade students after school
from approximately 3:45-5:45. Parents are welcome to watch or just come at the end to see what your child has been
taught. A waiver form must be signed prior to this by the parents of anyone under 18 years of age. Please contact the
Fort Recovery Police Department in person, by email [email protected] or call 419-375- 2662 to reserve your
spot.  Class size is limited to 12 students so register soon if you are interested.
