MIDDLE SCHOOL ANNOUNCEMENTS

MEETINGS

All 8th graders will report to the Auditeria 1st period tomorrow for an assembly. Please report to your 1st period class and wait for the announcement around 8:30 am from Mrs. Hartings to release you to the Auditeria.

All 6th grade students will report to the auditeria during 3rd period on this Friday, Feb. 24th. Students will report to their 3rd period class first and their teacher will release them from there at around 10:10am.

There will be a meeting for 8th graders and their parent(s) on Monday, February 27th at 6:30 pm in the HS Commons. This is your High School Information Night. Students will receive a copy of the FRHS Registration Guide at school prior to the meeting.

SPORTS

Fort Recovery Summer Youth Baseball and Softball registration forms are here. This is open to any student in grades PK-8 grade. All forms must be returned to the Elementary or Middle School Office or the Ft. Recovery Village Hall by Friday, February 24th. There will be a $10 late fee imposed after this date. Checks can be made payable to Fort Recovery Youth Sports Organization.

NOTES

Don’t forget to check the lost and found located right outside the Middle School Office.

There will be a bake sale during lunch starting next Monday, Feb. 27 to Friday, March 3rd to benefit a local Fort Recovery resident who is fighting cancer right now. All proceeds will be donated to her family to help pay for gas cards and other items. Students must purchase and eat all items while in the auditeria and should not be bringing them to the hallway or recess. If you have any questions, please see Danielle Braun and Grace Klingshirn.

The Elementary and Middle School Yearbooks are on sale thru February 28th. The yearbook will feature students in grades PK all the way through 8th grade. Yearbooks are $16.00 each. Checks can be made payable to Ft. Recovery Schools. Please return forms and money to the MS Office.

Here’s a chance for you and your family to donate back to Ft. Recovery Schools by shopping at the Wayne IGA. Right now through the end of February the IGA will donate 5% back to Ft. Recovery Schools for items you purchase from them. Please stop by the Middle School Office and pick up a paper you must present to them at the time of purchase. There are additional forms at Wayne IGA.

The Ft. Recovery Cub Scouts are collecting caps and lids to be recycled. They will be used to make benches for the Fort Recovery Community. Caps and lids can be no larger than 8 inches in diameter. No metal lids can be accepted either. Please make sure to wash all caps and lids. Here is a list of accepted items: milk jug, water bottles, hairspray and aerosol caps, detergent and softener caps, toothpaste tube caps, deodorant caps, drink bottle caps, flip-top caps (ketchup), spout caps (mustard), ointment tube caps, caps with recycle numbers 2, 4, and 5, cottage cheese lids, mayonnaise lids, yogurt lids, peanut butter lids, ice cream bucket lids, cool whip lids, coffee can lids, cream cheese lids, butter lids, prescription bottles and lids (with labels removed). Items can be turned into the Elementary or Middle School Offices. The Cub scouts need to have 400-500 pounds. You can turn items into the MS Office until March 1st.
