MEETINGS

Congratulations to the following Quiz Bowl team members: Caitlin Weigel, Anna Wendel, Clark Knapke, Dylan Langenkamp, Luke Keller, Aden Grube, Alyssa Heinrichs, Isaac Knapke, Cole Muhlenkamp, Hannah Weigel, Olivia Hawk, Emma Fullenkamp, Chase Kaiser, Alayna Laux, Paul Homan and Alix Englehardt. You will have your first meeting on Wednesday during lunch in Mrs. Weigel’s room. Please bring your tray with you.

SPORTS

8th grade boys’ basketball team, your practice is changed for today. You will now practice from 3:30-5 pm.

6th grade boys’ basketball team, you have practice from 5-6 pm in the MS gym.

The Junior High Boys’ Basketball teams played Celina at home yesterday. The 7th grade team lost 16-32. Logan Homan led the team with 6 points, and Owen Jutte had 4 points. The 8th grade team won 35-16. Clay Schmitz led the tea with 17 points, and Derek Jutte added 8 points. They will play Marion Local at home on Thursday. Good Luck Gentlemen!

The Junior High Girls’ Basketball teams will play at Marion Local today. Good Luck Ladies!

Pre-sale tickets for Friday’s away basketball game with Marion Local will be on sale Thursday from 7:45 am to 10:00 am in the Middle School Office. Pre-sale ticket prices are $4 for students and $6 for adults and all tickets at the gate are $6.00.

NOTES

STAR retreat applications and money are due to Mrs. Muhlenkamp by Wednesday, January 25th. There are extra forms in the MS Office.

The FREA, Fort Recovery Education Association, in conjunction with the Fort Recovery Public Library will host a fund drive. Students in grades PK-12 can check out books at the Fort Recovery Public Library and sign the sheet at the circulation desk. For every 100 books checked out by students, FREA will donate 1 book to the public library and 1 book to the school library. The more you read, the more books the libraries earn! The program runs through February 17th.

The Ft. Recovery Cub Scouts are collecting caps and lids to be recycled. They will be used to make benches for the Fort Recovery Community. Caps and lids can be no larger than 8 inches in diameter. No metal lids can be accepted either. Please make sure to wash all caps and lids. Here is a list of accepted items: milk jug, water bottles, hairspray and aerosol caps, detergent and softener caps, toothpaste tube caps, deodorant caps, drink bottle caps, flip-top caps (ketchup), spout caps (mustard), ointment tube caps, caps with recycle numbers 2, 4, and 5, cottage cheese lids, mayonnaise lids, yogurt lids, peanut butter lids, ice cream bucket lids, cool whip lids, coffee can lids, cream cheese lids, butter lids, prescription bottles and lids (with labels removed). Lids and caps can be brought to school and put in the recycle containers labeled for lids and caps. The Cub scouts need to have 400-500 pounds by February.
