FRIDAY is the last day for JH track in the middle school office. Track Conditioning will begin this Thursday,
February 7th from 3:30-4:30 in the SAC.  Conditioning is not mandatory, but is highly encouraged.  More information
to follow!
JH Track will have conditioning on Mondays and Thursdays in the SAC from 3:30-4:40 through the month of
February. Conditioning is not mandatory but highly encouraged.
Congratulations to the 7 th grade girls on their win over Coldwater last night. 20-18. Mara Pearson had 7 pts and Cali
Wendel had 6. They will play New Bremen tomorrow, Saturday, February 9 at 9:00 am here at MS gym. Let’s fill
the gym and come and cheer the girls on.
This Saturday is the JH Boys’ basketball tournament. The 7 th grade boys’ will play Delphos St. Johns at 10:15 am at
Parkway. The 8 th grade boys’ play Saturday at 9 am at Marion Local HS gym. Good Luck teams and cheerleaders!
7 th grade girls’ basketball team will play Coldwater on Thursday at 6:15 pm at New Knoxville High School gym.

Spring League volleyball practice for this Thursday night is cancelled due to 8 th grade girls’ basketball tournament.
Coach Niekamp will be offering strength and speed work for any students grades 5 and up in the Student Activity
Center on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays after school until 4:30 pm. This is open to any athlete.
Attention current 6 th graders: Mr. Guggenbiller has the summer youth softball and baseball forms in his room. Cost is
$25 per student to play. Deadline to turn in forms are Friday, February 15 th . There is a $10 late imposed if not turned
in on time.
NOTES
Students, the new incentive date will be Thursday, February 14th. We will follow the exact same incentive plan and
schedule as originally planned. Please be sure to bring any additional money you want for lunch or pack a lunch. 8th
graders - You will be able to vote on your restaurant stop. Mr. Stahl has emailed you a survey, please complete by
Thursday, Feb. 7th. If you have any questions, please see Mr. Stahl.
Middle school students - the deadlines to get your e-day assignments turned in will be E-Day #1 on Wednesday, Feb.
13th and E-day #2 on Monday, February 18th.
Students, with the recent weather issues, we will be postponing the distribution of interim reports. They will now go
home on Monday, February 11th and should be returned by Thursday, February 14th. If you have questions, see Mr.
Stahl in the office.
Congratulations to our January “Above the Line” Winners: Brett Lauber, Madison Bihn, Ella Schoen, Adam
Schoenlein, Jenna Hart, Troy Homan, Luke McCain and Paige Guggenbiller!
TODAY is the last day to order lip suckers for pickup on Wednesday, February 13th. Cost is $1 per sucker or 6
suckers for $5. Please turn your form and money into the middle school office. Extra forms are in the office.
Between January 18 th and February 23 rd , students in grades PK to 12 can check out books and sign the sheet at the
circulation desk of the Ft. Recovery Public Library. For every 100 books checked out by the students, FREA will
donate 1 book to the public library and 1 book to the school library. This event is sponsored by the Ft. Recovery
Education Association.
Elementary & Middle School Yearbooks are on sale through February 28 th . Order forms are attached to the February
newsletter. Cost is $16.00. Make checks payable to Ft. Recovery Schools. Turn in order forms to the MS office.
