Good Morning and welcome to another great day at Fort Recovery Elementary School.  Teachers on Bus Duty are Mrs. Brunswick and Mrs. Albers in front and Mrs. Klosterman at the PK/K door.

This Week is Red Ribbon Week.  It is great to see everyone in Neon to say “Blind out Drugs”.  Don’t forget that tomorrow is Mismatch day to say “Don’t get mixed up in Drugs”

 

We want to wish good luck today to all the 4th and 5th who are participating in the spelling bee today after school. 

 

Pre-sale tickets for Friday’s away football game vs. St. Henry will be on sale in the Middle School office on Thursday from 7:45 am to 10:45 am. Prices are $4.00 for students and $6.00 for adults.  All tickets at the gate are $6.00.

 

Just a reminder to all students that tomorrow is picture retake day.  If you would like to have your picture retaken please bring your entire picture packet back with you.  If you were absent and need an order form they are available in the office. 

 

Cooper Farms Canned Meat Fundraiser pick up day will be tomorrow, 10/26/16, at the bus barn from 2:30-6:00. Parents—If you have any questions please call the elementary office at 419-375-2768. 

 

Attention 4th and 5th grade book club members—you will have book club on Thursday October 27th from 3:30-4:30.

 

The Annual PTO Raffle and Turkey Dinner will take place on Thursday, November 3rd. The dinner is Presale only.  Raffle tickets which are 3 for $1.00 can be purchased up until the drawing which will be at 6:30pm on the 3rd.  As in the past there will not be tickets distributed for the dinner.  When you come to pick up your dinners you will simply need to give them your name. 

 

The Pint-Size Hero blood drive will be on November 3rd during Open House from 1-7 in the gym.  Please encourage your parents and family members to sign up if they are able to donate.  They can do so by going to www.redcrossblood.org and using the sponsor code fortrec.

 

This year we are concentrating on moving kids to be courageous, compassionate and responsible members of the community by telling you about real heroes through the Giraffe Heroes Project and giving you something to say YES to!  Here is a real life example of what some kids are doing to make a difference in the world.
