MEETINGS
Attention All MS Quiz Bowl team members: The first meeting will be during lunch NEXT WEEK on Wednesday,
January 16th.  Please bring your tray and a pencil.  Meeting will be in Mrs. Weigel's room.
SPORTS
Attention 7 th and 8 th graders: It is time to sign up for summer baseball and softball. Registration forms are available
from your Science teacher. All forms must be returned by JANUARY 18 th . Please note the deadline is much earlier
this school year.
The JH boys’ basketball team played Delphos St. Johns yesterday. The 8 th grade won 36-28. Ross Pearson led the
team with 12 points, and Cale Rammel added 11 points. The 7 th grade won 37-32. The team was down 6-22 in the
fourth quarter and pulled off a comeback victory. Reece Guggenbiller sunk the winning free throws and led the team
with 13 points. Troy Homan added 8 points, and Lyndon Brinkerhoff chipped in 7 points. Outstanding effort 7 th
grade!!! The boys will travel to Russia on Monday. Good Luck!
The Junior High girls’ basketball team will play New Knoxville at home on Tuesday. Good luck Lady Indians!
The Cheerleaders will be hosting a Cheer Fun Day on Saturday, February 9 th from 8:30 am – 12 pm at the Student
Athletic Complex at the High School. Participants will learn chants, cheers and dance with the FRHS cheerleaders.
This is open to grades K-6 th grade. There are forms in the office. Registration is due Friday, January 18 th . Cost is $20.
The Ft. Recovery K of C will have their annual free throw competition on Sunday, January 20 th at the High School
gym starting at 12 pm.
NOTES
6 th graders if you are interested in the 2019 Battle of the Books competition please see your LA teacher. It will take
place on March 28, 2019 at Coldwater this year.
