The 7 th grade girls lost to New Bremen 29-46 on Saturday. Mara Pearson had 17 points, Teigen Fortkamp added 6
points, and Cali Wendel had 5 points. New Bremen won the 7 th grade MAC title, and Ft. Recovery was named the
runners-up. The 7 th grade girls end the season with a record of 8 wins and 10 losses. Great Job ladies and Coach
Stahl!
This past Saturday was the start of the JH Boys’ basketball tournament. The 7 th grade boys’ lost to Delphos St. Johns
30-41. Rex Leverette led the team with 10 points. 7 th grade ends their season with 10 wins and 7 losses. The 8 th
grade boys’ defeated St. Henry 40-21 on Saturday. Cale Rammel led the team with 12 points, and Ross Pearson added
8 points. The 8 th grade boys played Coldwater yesterday and were defeated 27-21. Cale Rammel had 9 points. This
ends the 8 th grade boys’ season with a record of 16 wins and 2 losses. Great job to both teams and coaches!
Attention current 6 th graders: Summer youth softball and baseball forms are due Friday, February 15 th . Cost is $25
per student to play. There is a $10 late imposed if not turned in on time. Extra forms are in the office.
JH Track will have conditioning on Mondays and Thursdays in the SAC from 3:30-4:40 through the month of
February. Conditioning is not mandatory but highly encouraged.
Pre-sale tickets for Friday night’s home basketball game with New Bremen will be on sale in the Middle School
Office Thursday from 8-9:45 am. Pre-sale ticket prices are $4 for students and $6 for adults. All tickets at the gate are
$7.
NOTES
The Band concert will be TONIGHT starting at 7 pm in the Auditeria. This includes bands in grades 5-12. Good
Luck band members!
Incentive will be Thursday, February 14th. We will follow the exact same incentive plan and schedule as originally
planned. Please be sure to bring any additional money you want for lunch or pack a lunch.
Middle school students - the deadlines to get your e-day assignments turned in will be E-Day #1 on Wednesday, Feb.
13th and E-day #2 on Monday, February 18 th , and E-day #3 on Monday, February 25 th .
Interim reports will go home today. They should be signed and returned by Monday, February 18th.
Between January 18 th and February 23 rd , students in grades PK to 12 can check out books and sign the sheet at the
circulation desk of the Ft. Recovery Public Library. For every 100 books checked out by the students, FREA will
donate 1 book to the public library and 1 book to the school library. This event is sponsored by the Ft. Recovery
Education Association.
Elementary & Middle School Yearbooks are on sale through February 28 th . Order forms are attached to the February
newsletter. Cost is $16.00. Make checks payable to Ft. Recovery Schools. Turn in order forms to the MS office.
