Search of FRMS & FRHS by K-9 Units

from local law enforcement agencies conducted a search of the middle school and
high school premises with their respective K-9 units on Monday, April 1, 2019.
The K-9 units search serves many important purposes for providing a safe
academic environment for everyone connected with the educational system. It
also serves as an appropriate training exercise for all participants,
especially the dogs.
Prior to the officers initiating the search, the faculty, students and staff
were informed of the situation via the public address system and the building
went into a “soft lockdown.” During this type of lockdown classroom teachers
proceed with their normal course instruction so that the learning process is
not interrupted. Our students and staff conducted themselves appropriately as
directed.
