 I am very proud of the achievements of the Fort Recovery School Community during this extension of the school closure period. This is a challenging time for students, parents, grandparents, childcare providers and staff members. However, we are rising to the occasion and I thank you all for your part in those efforts.

Current Important Information / Schedule of Learning

March 31st - All new updates are in red font 
March 19th - End of School Year (Emergency Remote Learning)
  • Elem K-2  | 
    •  May 1, 2  ( 10am-11:30am ) @ PreK / K Doors - Assignment packet turn in | New Assignment packet pick up
    • If you are unable to arrange pickup on those dates, please contact your childs teacher.
  • Elem 3-5  |  
    • Students will utilize Google Classroom to communicate and collaborate with their teachers.  Students will receive assignments and activities through Google Classroom.  All Students should have a school provided chromebook.
    • Ohio Standardized Testing is canceled for 2019-2020 school year. 
  • Middle School 
  • High School  |
    • Students will be utilizing a variety of online learning systems (Google, edmuntum, Zoom, etc).  Students will recieved their assignments through these each day.  All Students should either have their own device or a school provided laptop. 
    • Ohio Standardized Testing is canceled for 2019-2020 school year.   
    • Graduation Requirements - Determination is based on readiness for graduation as of March 12th and determined by the Principal with Teacher/ Counselor input. 
    • Graduation Ceremony plans are currently being worked out.
    • Prom has been cancelled. 

Do we have days off during ERL? Yes! 

  • Spring break is April 9-13 
  • April 29th - No New Instruction Day (Teachers will not provide anything new, this is a day for all students to catch up)

How do I contact my teacher during the ERL period?

  • All teachers will be available online  between the hours of 10am-3pm and 6:30pm-7:30pm M-F.
  • Teachers can also be contacted at any time via email.  The complete list is located on the right side of this site under "Staff Contact Information". 

What do I do if my device breaks/has issues during the ERL period?

  • Tech Support will be provided for all laptops and chromebooks during this time.  Instructions are available on the right side of this site under "Technology Repair Requests".

Which buildings will be open during the ERL period?

  • All Fort Recovery Local Schools Buildings will be locked.
  • Staff that need to report to the buildings will be able to use a key fob for entry.
  • For student/parent entry to a building, come to the main entry for the building and ring the bell.

How are my sports practices/schedules affected?

ERL Extended through End of School Year

Fort Recovery Schools will continue the school year utilizing our Emergency Remote Learning Plan through the end of the 2019-2020 school year as directed by Governor DeWine.  We will follow the school calendar as published at the start of the school year.  There are no additional calamity make-up days needed to complete the school year.  Please watch our website and social media sites for the details relate to May 2020 school activities.
