    • Fort Recovery Board of Education meetings will start at 6:30 pm on the third Monday of the month with few exceptions. 
    • This time will be set through December 2026.  In January, times and dates will be set for the 2027 year.

    • Develop policies that ensure that the school system is responsive to the needs of parents and students and accountable to taxpayers.
    • Provide leadership in building a community to serve and ensure that the schools serve the community.
    • Ensure that the district and community have the capacity to support the kind of changes necessary to improve continuously the quality of education in Fort Recovery.
    • Discern and articulate the kind of education the parents in the Fort Recovery learning community want for their children, and ensure that this is the kind of education that is provided to all children.

    • Don Wendel, President  is serving his seventh year as a board member. He and his wife, Brenda, have two daughters, Hope and Faith.  He is a graduate of Fort Recovery Local Schools and Wright State University and is currently the Distribution Manager at Cooper Farms.
    • Sean Kahlig, Vice President is serving in his fifth year as a board member.  Sean and his wife, Sarah, have two children, Mackenzie and Hailey, who are both students at Fort Recovery Elementary School.  Sean is a graduate of Fort Recovery Local Schools and of the University of Dayton.  Sean is currently employed at J&M Manufacturing, Inc. where he works as an engineering manager in the R&D department.
    • Mitch Fullenkamp is in his third year of serving on the board of education.  Mitch is a graduate of Fort Recovery High School and Wright State University.  He is currently the Purchasing Manager at Precision Strip.  Mitch and his wife, Katie, have 4 children, Gabriel, Blaine, Adele and Lydia.  
    • Greg LeFevre,  is serving in his seventh year during his second term on the board of education, previously serving on the board from 2018-2021. Greg is a 1990 graduate of Fort Recovery High School and 1994 graduate of the University of Notre Dame. He currently owns and runs The Raymath Company in Troy, OH. Greg and his wife, Toni (Hickerson), have four children, Isaac, Joscie, Reece and Camden. 
    • Nick Wehrkamp,  is in his ninth year of serving on the board of education. Nick is a graduate of Fort Recovery High School and Wright State University. He is currently employed at Midmark Corporation. Nick and his wife, Kristy, have four children, Makayla, Kendall, Alayna and Lexi.
