Good Morning and welcome to another great day at Fort Recovery Elementary School. Teachers on Bus Duty are Mrs. Dues and Mrs. Winner in front and Mrs. Klosterman at the PK/K door.

Pre-sale tickets for Friday’s away basketball game with New Knoxville will be on sale Thursday from 7:45 am to 10:00 am in the Middle School Office. Pre-sale ticket prices are $4 for students and $6 for adults and all tickets at the gate are $6.00.

Attention 3rd, 4th and 5th grade book club members. Your next meeting will be Thursday March 23rd from 3:30-4:30.

The combined Fort Recovery Elementary/Middle School Yearbook sale is going on now. Yearbooks are $16.00 and are due on February 28. Additional forms are in the office if you need one.

Summer Softball and Baseball Forms in available in the office for any student in K-5th grade that would like to participate. Forms are due on February 24th.

Here’s a chance for you and your family to donate back to Ft. Recovery Schools by shopping at the Wayne IGA. Right now through the end of February the IGA will donate 5% back to Ft. Recovery Schools for items you purchase from them. Please bring the paper that was sent home to the IGA to give to them at the time of purchase. There are additional forms at Wayne IGA.

The Ft. Recovery Cub Scouts are collecting caps and lids to be recycled. They will be used to make benches for the Fort Recovery Community. Caps and lids can be no larger than 8 inches in diameter and are being collected in the office!

Kindergarten Screenings at Fort Recovery Local Schools will be held March 7th and 8th at the Elementary School. Parents should register their child by going to www.fortrecoveryschools.org and clicking on the link on the Elementary home page between February 6th and February 24th. If parents have problems or do not have internet they can call Sara Moorman at 419-375-2768 to sign their child up. There will not be a K parent meeting this year.

This year we are concentrating on moving kids to be courageous, compassionate and responsible members of the community by telling you about real heroes through the Giraffe Heroes Project and giving you something to say YES to! Here is a real life example of what some kids are doing to make a difference in the world.
