Good Morning and welcome to another great day at Fort Recovery Elementary School. Teachers on Bus Duty are Mrs. Meyer and Mrs. Kunk in front and Mrs. Bertke at the PK/K door.

Notes

With next week being the last week of school the menu says we will be having cook’s choice. Next week in the cafeteria we will be having

Monday: Popcorn Chicken, Corn, Fruit, Granola Bar and milk

Tuesday: Assorted Sandwiches, Tator Tots, Fruit, and milk

Wednesday: Pizza or Quesadillas or Corn Dogs, broccoli, fruit and milk

Thursday: Hot Dog, baked beans, chips, applesauce and milk.

Attention all students and staff there will not be a salad bar next week in the cafeteria. Your options at lunch will be to purchase a tray or pack your lunch.

And speaking of lunch just a reminder to all students that if you owe lunch money on the last day of school you will not receive your report card. Please make sure if you receive a low balance sheet that you take it home and give it to your parents.

Attention all students the library is now closed for the year. Please make sure you return all books that you have out as soon as possible so that your report card will not be held on the last day of school

The Fort Recovery Friends of the Library is sponsoring their annual Back to School Fundraiser for next year’s school supplies. Forms are available in the office if you need one.

Fort Pioneers will have their next meeting on Monday, May 22 from 6:30pm to 7:30pm at the High School Commons. They will be passing out judging sheet times and will have skits about what to do and what not to do during project judging.

Attention all students tomorrow, May 23rd, is the Elementary Field Day. We will have water jugs available but we ask that you bring in a water bottle or a cup with your name on it to use during the day. Don’t forget your sunscreen.

Attention boys in 2nd to 5th grade forms for the Fort Recovery Football summer youth camp are due today. Matt Light is also offering an All-Conference Football camp this summer. Forms for both of these camps are in the office if you need one.

Attention all students Forms for fall soccer are due today. Additional forms are in the office if you need one.

Attention 5th grade students. Joint Township Memorial Hospital is sponsoring a Babysitting Training Program this summer. Please pick up a flyer in the office if you are interested.

The Grand Lake Mariners are offering a baseball camp to any student age 8-14 who is interested in learning baseball fundamentals. Forms can be picked up in the office for any student who is interested.

This year we are concentrating on moving kids to be courageous, compassionate and responsible members of the community by telling you about real heroes through the Giraffe Heroes Project and giving you something to say YES to! Here is a real life example of what some kids are doing to make a difference in the world.
