The 7 th and 8 th grade boy’s will have basketball open gym on Tuesday and Thursday from 3:30-5 pm in the MS gym.
NOTES
Students are reminded that grade cards will go home on Friday of this week. In order to receive your report card, you
must have your book and lunch fees paid, all library books returned or re-newed and have any other outstanding fee or
items returned as directed by your teacher. If you are not sure about book fees, you can stop in the office to check.
Student council will be having a bake sale on Wednesday to raise shipping money for Operation Christmas Child.
Please remember to bring coins or small bills (nothing larger than a $5). All items will be 50 cents. Thanks for helping
to support this cause and remember the power of a simple gift.
Tuesday will be our next locker inspection during announcements. Two students from each grade will be random
selected to have their locker inspected. Please have your lockers ready!
Middle School picture retake day is Wednesday, October 25 th at 9 am. If you are unhappy with your picture, you can
have it retaken on this date. Please return your picture packet on this date if you are not happy.
"It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!" Ok, well not quite yet, but Operation Christmas Child is underway!
Student Council is collecting items to pack Christmas boxes for kids all around the world. Items that they are in need
of are combs, washcloths, soap, crayons, markers, coloring book, notebooks, and small toys. See the posters in the
hallway for a complete list of items. They will also collect money for shipping the boxes. Money counts as a bonus
item for the middle school contest. 6th graders can bring items to Mrs. Jutte, 7th grade to Mrs. Kahlig, and 8th grade
to Mrs. Fullenkamp. The grade level that brings in the most items will be treated to doughnuts and juice!! Please help
donate to this wonderful cause!
Students here's an update on the Operation Christmas Child contest:
6th grade has 96 items. 7th grade has 200 items. 8th grade has 173 items. The contest continues until next Tuesday,
October 21st. Thanks for all the donations this far!
During the month of October, the High School Office will be selling Spirit Socks to any student that is interested in
purchasing a pair. They are Fort Recovery colors with our Indian logo and only cost $15. If you'd like an order form,
please see the middle school office. All orders are due by Nov. 3rd.
The EMS Open House is set for Monday, October 30 th from 5-7 pm. The PTO will sponsor their annual raffle
drawing. Tickets went home with the youngest in each family. Tickets are 3 for $1.00. There are many great prizes
to be given out during the drawing. Thank you to the many FR businesses who donated to the PTO Raffle! We
couldn’t do it without you! If you need more raffle tickets, please stop in the office.
There will be a blood drive in honor of Ally Roessner at Open House on Monday, October 30 th from 1-7 pm. The
blood drive will be in the Middle School gym. You can make an appointment at http://www.redcrossblood.org/. Please use
the sponsor code fortrec. You can also call the Middle School office at 419-375- 2815 to set up a donation
appointment.
