** Attention Fort Recovery School Parents! **
As we wrap up the school year, here are some important updates about our Chromebook and laptop policies for the summer:
For 5th to 7th Graders: Students continuing with us next school year are encouraged to keep their Chromebooks over the summer. This is an excellent opportunity for them to engage in educational activities and prepare for the upcoming school year!
For 8th Graders: Please note, 8th graders will return their Chromebooks this year as they will receive a new Windows-based device at the start of their freshman year. Chromebooks should be returned on May 20th during 8th period.
High School Laptops: All high school students will be turning in their devices this year for an update to Windows 11. We are excited to inform you that starting next summer, high school students will be invited to take their devices home during the summer break!
For Non-returning 5th-7th Graders: If your child is not returning next year, please return their device at the Library check-in desk. Important: If the device is not returned, you will be billed for the cost of the Chromebook.
Summer Repair Service: If your child’s Chromebook needs repairs over the summer:
- Drop Off: Bring it to the front entrance of the High School. Look for the designated drop-off table.
- Repair Form: Fill out the repair request form available on the table, and leave it with the device.
- Pick-Up: We’ll contact you when the Chromebook is repaired and ready for pickup.
General Reminders:
- Please remind your child to remove all personal items from their Chromebook cases.
- All components should be returned; missing items may incur fees.
